SHARPEN UP IS A 3-PART COOKING CLASS DESIGNED TO TEACH FAMILIES LIVING IN THE MARGINS TO SOURCE AND PREPARE HEALTHY HOME COOKED MEALS, AND VIRTUALLY VIA ZOOM.
During this very challenging time, families in the margins are struggling with food and isolation. To combat both of these head on, we designed a way to get hundreds of families critical groceries and meet them where they are, at home.
The curriculum features local chefs and is designed to make it easy for kids to apply in their everyday life.
Over 3 sessions, alongside Chef Mark Brand &
Chef Airis help build participant's kitchen skills and confidence. Each SHARPEN UP includes 2 doorstep-delivered grocery orders.
Structured by Q&A sessions, demonstrations and opportunities to share with peers, ABLF Chefs encourage learning, creativity and feedback in both group and private one-on-one settings.

Culminating in a
SHARPEN UP kids cook a full meal for their family, sharing what they have learned with ABLF Chefs and each other over their made-from-scratch dish.
