ABLF USA creates radical spaces of inclusion. Our four initiatives unite people in the kitchen or at the table to increase community wellbeing. If one of US is unwell, we're all unwell. Food is our last, best hope to connect & build with our neighbors.
From June to July of 2019, ABLF USA in partnership with FairShare & Knorr launched a nationwide tour to convene policy & change makers.
WE CONVENE, ADVOCATE AND EMPOWER
We're all about radical hospitality; whether it's convening policy and change makers to share a meal or creating physical spaces of inclusion like Save On Meats. We connect people to help combat isolation and heal communities.
Ways we convene: ABLF USA hosts dinners, builds inclusionary brick-and-mortar venues, and unites people in their own community centers. We connect with local non-profits to execute community programs that decrease isolation and increase food security.
At ABLF USA we advocate for basic human rights. We believe that everyone has the right to nutritious food, purposeful employment, stable housing and holistic healthcare. The entire team lives and breathes accessible advocacy.
Ways we advocate: ABLF USA's founder Mark Brand speaks on stages worldwide and in the media to address social inequalities. ABLF USA's dinners and activations hold space for these tough conversations.
We respect and honor the power of others. We're all capable of being in service of and advocating for one another. ABLF USA designs programs to strengthen community bonds. We do this by breaking down social and emotional barriers.
Ways we empower: ABLF USA facilitates cooking workshops for individuals with limited resources to build the knowledge and confidence to dish out healthy yet affordable meals. At a Dinner for Good, participants with resources receive a direct call to action. Additionally, our team works with corporations to embed social purpose into their marketing and operational strategies.
